A St. Cloud woman faces 14 felony charges after a series of events targeting a man earlier this week. Stearns County prosecutors have charged 21-year-old Lakita Goolsby with eight counts of felony domestic assault, four charges of felony threats of violence, and one count each of stalking, harassment, and damage to property. The defendant is accused of assaulting and stalking a man who was trying to escape her. Goolsby is accused of threatening to stab the man and repeatedly assaulting him by punching and choking him. The charges stem from incidents over the weekend at a St. Cloud apartment and while the victim was trying to escape by driving away. The criminal complaint says Goolsby had a friend drive her as they followed the man to various locations where she allegedly threatened him with the knife and damaged his vehicle. St. Cloud police say when they caught up with the two vehicles, they watched as Goolsby threw a knife away. Officers were able to recover the knife and confiscate it as evidence. The charges allege Goolsby was upset that the victim broke her TV and wanted him to pay for it.

An inspection of the University Bridge in St. Cloud revealed some deterioration near the manholes. The city of St. Cloud has marked the trouble spots with construction barrels and closed a portion of the shoulders as a precaution. The deterioration is confined to the area around the manholes, and the bridge is safe for traffic. All travel lanes remain open to drivers and sidewalks remain accessible to pedestrians. The city of St. Cloud has a bridge rehabilitation project scheduled for 2027, and the problems will be addressed at that time. In the meantime, city officials say the construction barrels will remain in place until that time.

Six people, including a child, were killed when a small airplane crashed in a densely wooded area to the west of the Wisconsin Dells on Tuesday evening. The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call at 9:30 p.m. of a downed plane in the Park Lane area in the Town of Dellona, about seven miles southwest of the popular tourist city. A search was launched for survivors, with investigators learning that the plane was a fixed wing Piper flying a return trip from Kenosha in eastern Wisconsin to Menomonie in western Wisconsin. Five adults and one child were on board, and all were found dead at the scene. Investigators remain at the scene as of Wednesday, with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) both leading the investigation. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

Little Falls Community Schools is commemorating 50 Years of its Indoor Marching Band Show and wants alumni band members to return and join in the fun. High School Band Director Todd Peterson says the show is a huge production: "I kind of think of it like a musical or a show because there is so many moving pieces. We work so hard on it over these next two months that the kids kind of deserve two opportunities to perform it, and I think they really like doing that. In my nine years, I've never heard a student say why do we do two nights and so that tells me that they really enjoy playing both nights." Peterson says fifty is a big number, so they wanted to make it special for everyone who has been a part of it over the years.  All three directors from the fifty-year run will be there: Dwight Nelson, Jonathan Laflamme, and Peterson. He says the students love the show so much because they get to pick a lot of the pieces: "It's basically a variety show where kids pick out their own music that they want to play kind of in section features, along with playing kind of pep band music, sometimes the more contemporary, 21st-century rock n' roll, but also going back to some of the classics." Peterson says all the music is tunes people will know and enjoy singing along with. Alumni have until Thursday to register to take part. The two-day Indoor Marching Band Concert takes place on November 23rd and 24th at the Little Falls High School.
